WHAT WE LOVE:

In black, the Aquis Date 43.50 mm is the definitive sports watch. Refined and yet high-performing, it’s a modern versatile classic, backed up by water resistance to 30 bar (300 metres) and a uni-directional rotating bezel with a ceramic insert. To make the bracelet more tapered, visually lighter and more contemporary, while protecting ist muscular feel and robust performance profile, our designers reworked every link. The look is unfussy, while the brushed centre links become prominent.

Legibility is paramount in a high-functioning wristwatch, particularly one with elevated water resistance. Our designers stressed the shape and profile of the new design’s Alpha hands and shield-like hour markers to mirror one another and ensure rapid reference. So much of the visual weight of a watch is carried by its typography. For the new Aquis Date, we commissioned a bespoke, highly legible typeface with an athletic, confident profile. The typeface will only ever appear on Aquis watches.

WHAT’S INSIDE:

The Oris Caliber 733 is a solid and dependable movement that powers various Oris timepieces, offering accurate timekeeping and quality craftsmanship synonymous with the Oris brand. It beats at 28,800 beats per hour, has a power reserve of 38 hours, and contains the iconic 'red rotor' featured prominently in the open caseback.
